Timed Auction Format
We use the Timed Auction format, which means all the bidding takes place without a live auctioneer. Auctions run for 72hrs starting on a Friday and concluding on Sunday allowing plenty of time for you to bid. Lots have a time extension of 5 minutes. Therefore a bid placed within the last 5 minutes of the Lot ending extends automatically by a further 5 minutes preventing sniping or being overbid at the last second.

Bid Increments
Lots have no reserves. We have agreed on a starting price with the owner. 

We set Bid Increments on all Lots as follows:

Items under £1,000 have a bid increment of £5.00 per bid

Items under £5,000 have a bid increment of £10.00 per bid

Items over £10,000 have a bid increment of £100.00 per bid

Placing a Bid
Bids are placed on the individual Lot listing. When you place a higher than the current value, your new bid becomes the new amount. We do not operate hidden reserves to prevent bidding-up. 

Lot Notification
Each time you place a bid, or your bid is overtaken, you will receive an email. There is a delay due to mail servers. We recommend that you refresh your internet browser for live-updates.

Bidding Service
If you are unable to bid for yourself, you can request a commission bid before the sale, which we will execute for you on your behalf. 

Buyers Premium
Each Lot sold will attract a Buyer’s Premium of:

15% for items under £10,000

10% for items over £10,000

This cost is added to the Lot after the auction has ended and will appear on the buyer’s invoice.

Catalogue Photographs and Information
Items offered for purchase at auction are catalogued, photographed and researched by our specialists. Each listing will display photographs along with a description. Additional pictures can be requested before the final auction date.

Advanced Viewing
We have suspended viewing in person due to Covid-19

Bidder Registration
To bid, you must register an account with us, and you must enter your name and address in your profile. Bids placed by users who have not completed their profile are deleted and the account banned.

Payment for Lots purchased including all associated fees, charges, is due no later than seven calendar days after we have sent you your invoice. Please allow us 48hrs to issue invoices after the auction ends. 

Lots cannot be collected and removed until the invoice for these lots has been paid. All purchased lots may be collected, or shipping arranged. To arrange collection, please send a booking email to [email protected] or telephone call to 44 (0)7971955214 to ensure lots are ready at the time of collection. Some items due to weight or size are listed as collection only. An agent can arrange collections on your instruction. 

Handling and Storage
Storage will be Free of Charge for three calendar months. After the first three calendar months following the sale, the following handling and administration charges will apply per Lot: 

Small objects – £20.00 admin fee+ £3.00 per day storage

Large objects – £40.00 admin fee + £6.00 per day storage
